Lead Craftsman / Carpenter

Tru Blue Ally of South Savannah — $30‑$40 per hour based on experience + performance bonuses. Full‑time, Monday‑Friday, day shift. Veterans, retirees, and experienced trades professionals are encouraged to apply.

Tru Blue Ally of South Savannah is a veteran‑owned home services company delivering premium handyman, home repair, maintenance, remodeling, and aging‑in‑place services throughout Chatham and Bryan Counties. We are looking for an experienced Lead Craftsman / Carpenter to help build our trusted local brand known for quality workmanship, integrity, and exceptional customer service.

Unlike many construction positions, our craftsmen enjoy a variety of residential repair, maintenance, remodeling, and accessibility projects. You’ll work directly with homeowners, be home every night, and enjoy a Monday‑Friday schedule with no routine weekend work.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform advanced carpentry, remodeling, and home improvement projects.
  • Install and repair doors, trim, cabinetry, flooring, decks, fences, and other residential features.
  • Complete drywall repair, finishing, painting touch‑up, and other residential repairs.
  • Assist with bathroom updates, grab bar installations, handrails, ramps, and other aging‑in‑place modifications.
  • Perform general home repair and maintenance projects.
  • Diagnose problems and recommend practical solutions for homeowners.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Represent Tru Blue professionally in customers’ homes.
  • Help establish standards and processes as our company grows.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of paid carpentry, remodeling, handyman, or residential construction experience.
  • Strong finish carpentry skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of residential construction methods and repair techniques.
  • Experience with framing, trim work, drywall, flooring, cabinetry, doors, decks, and general repairs.
  • Ability to independently complete projects from start to finish.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Comfortable working in occupied homes, including homes of seniors and vulnerable adults.
  • Must own and maintain professional‑grade tools.
