Work Location:
Onsite only – applicants must live within daily commuting distance. Remote work is not available.
Job Summary:
Technicians install and service telephone, security, video, and internet systems, troubleshoot issues, and educate customers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Complete all installations according to company and industry standards.
- Acquire and return equipment as directed.
- Maintain tools and vehicles; report any maintenance issues.
- Communicate with Dispatch on arrivals, departures, and any delays, and accurately complete daily reports and paperwork.
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and immediately report maintenance issues to the Fleet Manager, if operating a company vehicle.
- Perform local travel 100% of the time.
- Complete required technical development training and certification to remain an active employee.
- Follow all company and OSHA safety rules.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Technical proficiency with cable systems, installation techniques, troubleshooting methods, and maintenance procedures.
- Problem‑solving skills and the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Customer focus with a commitment to excellent service.
- Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail in installations, testing, and record keeping.
- Adaptability to various environments and changing priorities.

Skills:
- Installation of residential/commercial video, HIS, XHS, CDV (training provided).
- Strong customer service, time management, and communication abilities.
- Fluency in English (speaking and understanding) required.
- Ability to read and interpret operating instructions and procedures.
- Basic math, computer, and troubleshooting skills.
- Navigation and adjustment of operating systems.
- Time management and independent work capability.
Education /
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and a minimum of three (3) years of driving history.
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record with no major violations (review up to seven years).
- Under 21 years of age is not permitted.
- Pass a comprehensive criminal background check (felony convictions result in disqualification).
Compensation:
Paid hourly with potential production bonus based on work completed, experience, certifications, quality of work, punctuality, professionalism, and adherence to company standards.
