24-Hour Apartment & Commercial Plumbing Service Company – Houston, TXWe are a 24-hour apartment and commercial plumbing service company serving Houston and surrounding cities. With 60 employees and a 45,000 sq. ft. office, warehouse, equipment yard, and parking facility located in the Houston NW area, we are expanding our team and looking for a dependable, skilled Fleet Mechanic / Facility Maintenance Technician.
About the Position This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, stays organized, and enjoys variety. You will maintain, repair, and troubleshoot our fleet of Ford, Chevrolet, gasoline, and light-diesel vehicles, other various plumbing equipment, as well as perform shop and facility maintenance tasks.
Overtime may be required when a vehicle or piece of equipment must be ready for next-day field work.
Rate: $22 - $25/hr Responsibilities Fleet Maintenance & Repairs Perform maintenance, diagnostics, emergency repairs, and parts replacement on light-duty trucks, vans, and vehicles
Work with local dealerships, parts suppliers, and machine shops
Conduct preventative maintenance on gasoline and light-diesel vehicles
Weld, fabricate, or improvise solutions when necessary
Facility & Shop Maintenance Repair or replace lights, switches, A/C filters and controls
Address concrete parking lot issues, fencing repairs, and general building needs
Maintain a clean, organized shop and work area Administrative & Communication Read and respond to emails and text messages
Complete paperwork accurately
Operate basic computer systems and software
Job Qualifications Presentable appearance and strong people skills
Team-player attitude and desire for long-term employment
Reasonable commute distance to our NW Houston facility
Willingness to work overtime when urgent repairs are needed
High School diploma or GED (trade certifications a plus)
Willing to attend training or seminars as needed
Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
Good credit history
Ability to pass random drug and alcohol testing“Think-outside-the-box” problem-solving mindset
