Certified Scaffold Supervisor
Design various types of scaffolds and order materials as required to maintain workflow. Perform all necessary documentation, including delivery/pick‑up tickets, time sheets, extra work authorizations, safety plans, JSA’s, and scaffold inspection checklists.
Act as a mentor and coach to Scaffold E&D Lead Carpenters, supporting their development. Foreman 1 must work with tools and perform supervisory duties effectively.
Safely and effectively supervise up to three Scaffold Erectors, managing erection and dismantling of various scaffold types without direct and continuous supervision of the Construction Manager. Serve as a Competent Person on site as required by OSHA and Sunbelt Competent Person Procedures.
Physical demands include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 40 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with applicable laws.
Education and Experience- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Combined experience as Scaffold Erector and/or Supervisor for a minimum of 5 years or approved equivalent experience
- Trade school preferred, but not required
- Valid driver’s license
- Project management skills
- Ability to work comfortably and safely at considerable heights
- Bilingual a plus
- Strong project management skills: time and schedule management, cost control, customer communication, problem identification, and solution implementation
- Good knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations regarding scaffolding
- Comprehensive understanding of scaffold material types to ensure loads are not exceeded
- Scaffold Safety Orientation
- Supported Scaffold Builder 1 (scaffold user training – SBU online)
- Supported Scaffold Builder 1.5 (where applicable – STI online)
Base Pay Range: $23.52 – $29.40 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on position, location, education, training, and experience.
