Job Overview

Title: HVAC Technician 2 (Shop)
Location: Pearland, TX

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures in the shop.
• Set up and operate equipment in the shop, either independently or with another technician.
• Work in a full‑time capacity with potential overtime, weekends, and occasional travel.

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• 4–7 years of experience working on commercial HVAC systems, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Proficiency in calculating nominal and effective tonnage or kW requirements and interpreting schematics.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Optional: TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
• Availability to work assigned schedules, travel to job sites, and be on standby for work outside regular shifts.

• Stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods; walk uneven terrain without special assistive devices.
• Move extremities and spine through a functional range of motion from floor level to full overhead level.
• Manipulate small items with good finger dexterity and hand‑eye coordination.
• Lift up to 60 lbs, push/pull up to 80 lbs, and carry up to 60 lbs.
• Climb stairs and ladders; perform combinations of climbing while carrying 15 lbs, stoop, kneel, and squat.
