Part‑Time Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Technician
Trades background a plus. Earn $20 hr during paid training and share in production pay on overnight shifts. Work in the trades and want extra income a few nights a week? If you are comfortable on roofs and with your hands, this part‑time role is for you.
Responsibilities- Execute kitchen exhaust cleaning jobs to HOODZ standards, completing assigned work efficiently and thoroughly.
- Follow all safety protocols and NFPA 96 standards—use harnesses, gloves, goggles, and lockout/tagout as required.
- Assist with truck setup, equipment handling, and organized teardown at the end of each job.
- Complete all job documentation accurately, including before/after photos, job reports, and timesheets.
- Represent HOODZ professionally at every customer site—maintain clean uniforms, communicate clearly, and leave each kitchen better than you found it.
- Communicate your available nights at least two weeks in advance and honor the agreed schedule.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting 50 + lbs, climbing ladders, and working on roofs.
- U.S. work authorization.
- Available for 2–3 overnight shifts per week, with a schedule provided two weeks in advance.
- Background in a hands‑on trade—roofing, HVAC, fire suppression, painting, or pipe fitting.
- Comfort working at heights and around equipment.
- No kitchen exhaust or hood cleaning experience—training provided.
- No college degree required.
- No trade certifications required; earn them on the job.
Training Pay: $20 per hour for the first 2–4 weeks while you learn.
Production Pay: a share of each job’s revenue, roughly $20–$25 hr for entry‑level technicians and $25–$35 hr (or more) for experienced technicians, depending on job complexity.
Equipment: company‑provided truck, equipment, uniforms, and safety gear.
Scheduling: flexible; set your available nights and we build the schedule around you.
