HVAC Maintenance Technician
The HVAC Maintenance Technician supports the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across Goodwill Southeast Georgia facilities. This role helps maintain optimal environmental conditions for associates, customers, and donated goods while advancing Goodwill's commitment to safety, continuous quality improvement, and mission impact.
As a key member of the Facilities team, the HVAC Maintenance Technician serves as a Goodwill ambassador by modeling professionalism, accountability, and service in every interaction.

Your typical day includes:
- System installation, maintenance, and repair
- Safety, loss prevention, and compliance
- Training, team support, and quality improvement
- Mission advancement
What you'll need:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- HVAC certification required; EPA Universal certification required; NATE certification preferred.
- Three (3) to four (4) years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, principles, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and HVAC-related software.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to train, coach, and develop team members.
- Ability to organize priorities, manage schedules, and execute work independently.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to work a flexible, full-time schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver's license with ability to be insured by company carrier and maintain a clean driving record.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently between facilities.
Working conditions and physical requirements:
- Work performed in varying conditions including heat, cold, dust, damp, noise, confined spaces, and indoor/outdoor environments.
- Ability to stand, sit, lift, carry, push, pull, reach, climb, and crawl as required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently.
- Ability to work extended hours as needed to complete assigned duties.
