Automotive Technician Mechanic

Ryder System is hiring a Mobile Automotive Technician Mechanic to keep our transportation fleet safe and road-ready. In this field-based role, you'll perform mobile diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a variety of commercial vehicles at customer sites and roadside locations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, completing DOT inspections, documenting work in Ryder's systems, and communicating clearly with dispatch and customers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of Ryder fleet vehicles and trailers
• Perform mobile service calls at customer and roadside locations
• Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, and safety checks
• Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues
• Document all work performed in Ryder's maintenance systems
• Communicate repair status and recommendations to customers and dispatch
• Follow Ryder and DOT safety, environmental, and compliance standards
• Maintain service truck, tools, and parts inventory in ready condition
