Jefferson Energy Cooperative (JEC) is seeking a skilled and motivated Facility Maintenance Technician I to help maintain our facilities and support our mission of providing reliable service to our members. This full-time position performs a variety of maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, custodial, groundskeeping, and general building repairs across JEC facilities.

Responsibilities include inspecting facilities, responding to maintenance requests through a work order system, maintaining specialized equipment such as HVAC systems, security cameras, gate operators, and badge access systems, operating maintenance tools and equipment safely, and working collaboratively with employees and vendors. The successful candidate must be willing to work flexible hours, attend safety and technical training, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualified applicants should have a technical diploma or higher in a related field, or equivalent work experience, along with a valid driver's license. Experience in facility maintenance and technical training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related trades is preferred. Candidates should be detail-oriented, able to work independently, and capable of lifting up to 75 pounds while working both indoors and outdoors.
