ABM Industries seeks a Stationary Engineer to operate, monitor, and maintain building systems in the Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management department. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair boilers, chillers, pumps, air handlers, and controls to ensure safe, reliable, and energy efficient facility operations. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, responding to work orders and alarms, documenting readings, and complying with safety and environmental standards.
You'll collaborate with a diverse facilities team, support continuous improvement, and provide excellent service to occupants and clients.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain boilers, chillers, air handlers, pumps, and related mechanical/electrical equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and building systems per schedules and work orders.
- Troubleshoot system issues, diagnose root causes, and perform repairs or coordinate vendors as needed.
- Record equipment readings, maintain logs, and update CMMS/work order systems accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including LOTO and PPE use.
- Respond to alarms, building emergencies, and tenant/client requests, providing timely, professional service.
- Optimize equipment performance for energy efficiency and reliability, recommending improvements as needed.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and facility teams to support projects and system upgrades.
- Participate in training, safety meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support ABM's culture of safety, respect, and inclusion while representing the company professionally on site.
