Job SummaryThe HVAC Mechanic performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems at a Government military facility. Work is completed in accordance with manufacturer standards and Federal Government guidelines, with a strong focus on safety and professionalism.
Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment (RTUs, AHUs, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, VAVs, heat pumps, split systems)
- Troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration systems, including controls and wiring diagrams
- Respond to service calls and emergency after-hours requests as needed
Maintain service documentation, tools, and supply inventory - Support building systems including EMS, fire alarm, sprinkler, and emergency generator systems
- Safely lift and move materials up to 75 lbs
- Follow all safety, security, and site requirements
- 5+ years HVAC experience
- NATE Certification (required)
- Universal CFC Certification (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work Monday-Friday with occasional overtime and on-call emergencies
- Ability to pass drug screening and Federal Government background check
- U.S. Citizen or approved registered alien
HVAC License, HVAC Excellence or UA Star Certification
