Automotive Mechanic, Automotive Technician
We are looking for an experienced, mechanically inclined individual to join a growing automotive operations team in the Savannah, GA area!
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, is comfortable with tools, and has experience repairing, servicing, disassembling, or working on vehicles or mechanical equipment.
The Automotive Technician / Dismantler will be responsible for safely disassembling vehicles and identifying, inspecting, and preparing reusable components for inventory. The right candidate will be dependable, safety‑minded, productive, and comfortable working in a physical environment.
Schedule & Compensation- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Overtime:
Must be willing to stay until approximately 5:00 - 5:30 PM when needed to meet production requirements - Pay:$30 - 33/hour, depending on experience
- Contract-to-Hire:
Eligible for permanent placement after
520 hours - Additional Earnings:
Permanent employees may be eligible for a productivity‑based commission program
- Disassemble vehicles safely and efficiently while following established procedures
- Remove reusable automotive components and core parts
- Inspect components &determine the appropriate part classification
- Identify and properly tag parts for inventory
- Meet daily production and quality expectations
- Use hand and power tools to complete assigned work
- Keep tools &work areas organized and in proper working condition
- Follow all safety requirements and operational procedures
- Communicate with team members to support daily workflow
- Perform additional duties as assigned
We are interested in candidates with strong hands‑on mechanical ability and experience working with tools. Relevant experience may include:
- Automotive mechanic or technician
- Brake, tire, lube, or suspension technician
- Collision or body repair
- Automotive parts installation or parts removal
- Salvage, dismantling, or vehicle recycling
- Engine or transmission repair
- Heavy‑duty or diesel equipment repair
- Industrial or equipment maintenance
- Small‑engine repair
- Agricultural or other mechanical equipment
- Significant hands‑on automotive experience gained as a hobby
- Candidates do not necessarily need experience specifically in vehicle dismantling. Strong mechanical aptitude, tool proficiency, and the ability to learn established processes are highly valued.

- Comfortable working with hand and power tools
- Must provide own cordless power tools, including a 1/2” impact wrench, 3/8” impact wrench or cordless ratchet, cordless drill/driver, and reciprocating saw.
- Additional automotive power tools such as an angle grinder and impact driver are strongly preferred.
- Able to disassemble mechanical components and identify parts
- Basic troubleshooting and mechanical problem‑solving skills
- Able to read and follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic computer skills
- Must provide and maintain personal tools needed to perform the job
- In‑house tool cleaning and maintenance support will be available to help keep personal tools clean, maintained, and in excellent working condition
- Frequently lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Moving heavier items, including loads of approximately 75 lbs. with assistance or a team lift
