The Drywall Foreman is a full-time, on-site role based in Savannah, GA. This role oversees drywall crews in the field, organizing daily work plans, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to project specifications. The Drywall Foreman coordinates with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to sequence work, resolve issues, and maintain schedules. Daily responsibilities include reading and interpreting drawings, verifying measurements, inspecting installed work, managing materials and equipment, and enforcing safety procedures and company standards.
The role also involves mentoring crew members, tracking labor and production, reporting site conditions, and supporting continuous improvement in field operations.
- Solid experience in drywall installation, finishing, and repair, including leading field crews on commercial or industrial projects.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings, with strong layout and measurement skills.
- Knowledge of metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and related interior and exterior systems commonly used in commercial construction.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including crew supervision, task delegation, performance coaching, and conflict resolution.
- Commitment to jobsite safety, with practical knowledge of OSHA guidelines and safe use of tools, lifts, and equipment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills for coordinating labor, materials, inspections, and daily reporting.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and team members.
- Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions and perform the physical activities associated with construction work.
- Previous foreman or lead role in drywall or interior systems preferred; experience on healthcare or large industrial projects is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Savannah, GA jobsites; eligibility to work in the United States.
