Fire Alarm Inspector and Technician

Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay: $25–$35/hour, depending on experience

Cosco Fire Protection is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Inspector / Service Technician to join our growing Life Safety team in Savannah, GA. This position is responsible for inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, servicing, and documenting commercial fire alarm and life safety systems.

• Perform fire alarm inspections and testing in accordance with NFPA 72, applicable fire codes, and manufacturer requirements.
• Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems and related life safety equipment.
• Identify deficiencies and clearly document findings and recommendations.
• Complete inspection and service reports accurately and on time.
• Work with customers and property representatives professionally while performing service.
• Test initiating devices, notification appliances, control panels, power supplies, batteries, and associated equipment.
• Respond to service calls and troubleshoot system issues.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure required documentation is completed.
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a professional appearance.
• Communicate with the office, service department, and customers regarding system conditions and required repairs.

• Previous experience with commercial fire alarm systems preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable fire/life safety codes.
• Experience with inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of fire alarm systems.
• NICET certification is a plus.
• Manufacturer certifications such as Notifier, Siemens, Edwards, Fire-Lite, Silent Knight, etc., are a plus.
• Valid California driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily assignments.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to use a smartphone/tablet for electronic reports and documentation.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Applicants must be local to Greater Savannah Area, have a valid driver’s license, and be legally authorized to work in the United States.
