Are you ready to spend your summer serving up smiles in the park? If so, the City of Savannah has the perfect opportunity for you as a Seasonal Park Lunch Attendant. The Seasonal Park Lunch Attendant supports daily meal service operations for the Summer Park Lunch Program. This position ensures lunches are served while maintaining a safe, welcoming, and positive environment for all participants.
The attendant helps create a friendly atmosphere that promotes fun, safety, and community engagement throughout the program.

- Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing food deliveries.
- Set up and maintain the lunch service area, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
- Serve meals in a timely, friendly manner.
- Monitor food temperatures and follow proper food handling procedures.
- Monitor participants during mealtimes, promoting positive behavior and safety.
- High School Diploma or GED with one year of experience as a volunteer or paid leader; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Previous food service or experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to remain alert and attentive in an outdoor environment.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

Work Environment- Local neighborhood parks
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Seasonal position:
June–July (training starts in April)
Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post offer/pre-employment medical screen; and verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment.
