Mental Health Technician - Child & Adolescent Psych - 2nd Shift
Coastal Harbor Health System is a leading provider of specialized behavioral healthcare. Our campus includes a 145‑bed hospital dedicated to children and adolescents, offering both short‑ and long‑term inpatient services, and a 50‑bed inpatient facility for adults ages 18 and older.
Responsibilities- Be a steady, supportive presence in patients' daily lives—guiding them through meals, activities, and programming while creating a structured, engaging environment.
- Maintain safety by using awareness, quick thinking, and sound judgement to anticipate challenges and calmly de‑escalate situations.
- Build genuine, trust‑based relationships through positive communication, active listening, and consistent encouragement of healthy behaviors and boundaries.
- Partner with Clinical and Admissions teams to support screenings and assessments, playing an important role in each patient's care journey from the very start.
- Champion patient dignity and independence by supporting daily living needs and empowering individuals to build confidence and take meaningful steps forward.

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be 21+ years of age.
- Experience of 1+ year in behavioral health preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to successfully perform in a fast‑paced work environment.
