Are you ready to help Amazon deliver world‑class service in its transportation operations? Transportation Associates will perform trailer moves in the trailer yard, coordinate yard activities such as checking in trailers, traffic flow, and internal communications with operations, conduct yard audits, complete applicable driver training programs (Hostler, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) school, etc.), and operate multiple vehicle types based on business need to support Amazon’s transportation network.

• Make safety a priority by adhering to company rules and regulations. Follow and enforce safety measures and policies for all who operate vehicles on behalf of Amazon and those who enter the yard, including vendors and senior team members.
• Perform various functions within the yard, support site operations teams, internal transportation field teams, and external carriers, as needed, to ensure all trailers arrive and depart on time with zero defects and maintain workflow for buildings.
• Be professionally trained to operate Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs) on non‑public roads or in the yard to move trailers to/from dock and parking locations.
• Learn Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and comply with company policies and procedures regarding size, weight, route designations, parking, trailer designations, violation and incident reporting requirements, break periods, etc.
• Complete driver vehicle inspection reports on equipment and notify managers of any maintenance or delivery issues encountered.
• Follow hostler and delivery schedules, track and report working hours and breaks in compliance with Amazon policy and federal and state regulations, adhere to yard safety policies, obey all applicable traffic laws, and drive in accordance with weather/road conditions.
• Support the business on an as‑needed basis by serving as a peer trainer and/or working at nearby site locations within the area.
• Drive, maneuver, and load/unload a truck using approved equipment (pallet jack, etc.).

• Opportunity to work outside and drive different commercial motor vehicles in the yard and over the road.
• Exposure to different Amazon site types including NACF, NASC, Air, AMZL & AMXL.
• Long‑term growth potential via comprehensive training in transportation with Amazon.
• Dependent on business need, you may have the opportunity to earn your Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) paid for by Amazon.

• Hold a valid and active driver’s license.
• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Candidate must be 21 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirement and safety guidelines in English.
• Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, reach and ascend/descend stairs.
• Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Impose requirement to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and Driver Qualification File (DQF) if requested by business need;
  Amazon will pay for these certifications.
• Compliance with Department of Transportation  if driving over the road, including background screening, DOT physical, and drug test.

• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with diverse audiences.
• Experience building strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues and outside vendors.
• A valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Completion of Career Choice Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Course.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.

Starting pay for this position is $24.00 – $25.00 USD hourly, with additional compensation including overtime and performance bonuses.
