Fed Ex Ground Operations Manager (BC)
Savannah, GA
$70,000-$75,000 + Benefits + Weekly Pay
Bright Flag Recruiting is seeking an experienced Operations Manager (BC) on behalf of a Fed Ex Ground contractor operating in the Savannah, GA area.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily pickup and delivery operations, managing driver performance, ensuring safety and compliance standards, and supporting the overall success of the business. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and is willing to step in wherever needed to support the team.
Compensation & Benefits
- $70,000-$75,000 annual salary, based on experience
- Weekly pay via direct deposit

- Opportunity to grow with an established Fed Ex Ground contractor
- Full-time position
- 5-6 day work week
- Weekend availability required as needed
- On-call availability for operational emergencies
- Additional flexibility required during peak season
- Based out of a Fed Ex Ground terminal in the Savannah, GA area
- Minimum 2 years of transportation, logistics, or delivery operations management experience required
- Previous Fed Ex Ground management experience strongly preferred
- Experience with UPS, Amazon DSP, or other last-mile delivery operations is a plus
- Experience using routing, dispatch, and safety management software
- Valid driver's license required
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to drive a large delivery vehicle when operational needs require
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to pass a drug screen and DOT physical

- Oversee daily pickup and delivery operations
- Ensure routes are properly staffed and operating efficiently
- Monitor service performance and driver accountability
- Enforce company policies, safety standards, and compliance requirements
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training drivers
- Maintain and optimize delivery routes using routing software
- Coordinate fleet maintenance and equipment repairs
- Review and process payroll-related timesheets
- Communicate effectively with drivers and Fed Ex Ground personnel
- Ensure compliance with Hours of Service requirements, inspections, and required paperwork
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence
- Provide route coverage when operational needs require
