Job Summary
The Shred-it Route Driver is responsible for providing industry-leading service to clients by destroying documents, transporting supplies, and ensuring safe and compliant operations. Responsibilities include loading and unloading cargo securely, performing pre/post-trip checks, and maintaining DOT logs when applicable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform onsite/offsite destruction of confidential information.
- Conduct pre/post-trip checks and driver check-in on the assigned truck, reporting maintenance issues to Transportation/Dispatcher.
- Operate company equipment safely and efficiently to minimize injury risk and equipment damage.
- Comply with all local, provincial, and federal driver fitness and hours of service laws; maintain DOT logs when required.
- Maintain high security by ensuring consoles/containers are securely locked after emptying.
- Use a hand-held device to service accounts, keeping consoles barcoded, locations updated, and types and quantities accurate.
- Manage assigned routes to collect and service customers’ confidential material timely and accurately.
- Handle customer problems and inquiries promptly and professionally, acting in the best interest of both the customer and WMHS.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required
- 3 years of experience, preferably driving Box Trucks and managing routes.
- Valid Driver's License.

This job operates in both interior garage/shop or gas plant conditions and outside environments, including inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
