Overview
As a Management Trainee, you will participate in our Operations Management Trainee Program, an entry‑level training position consisting of an intensive 16‑week program designed to prepare you for an initial leadership/supervisory role in operations.
Responsibilities- Learn the basic principles of the transportation industry, efficient cross‑dock operations, effective leadership communication, and relationship‑building skills.
- Complete a pilot training curriculum that includes guided and independent study.
- Interface with Support Center and Service Center associates to accomplish various training activities daily.
- Accompany and observe an Account Manager during customer sales calls.
- Accompany drivers on local delivery routes to observe freight delivery processes on occasion.
- Upon completing the program, relocate to another facility to assume your first leadership role in Operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Transportation or Logistics, or equivalent education and at least two years of related work experience.
- Acceptable driving history that aligns with company standards.
- Flexibility with readiness to relocate as needed.
- Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills; maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
- Basic computer skills and a very strong work ethic.
- Ability to work third shift.
Average annual starting pay: $50,000 – $60,000.
