Job Overview
The Beer Loader is responsible for weighing pallets, verifying the correct weight, and loading them onto the route truck. Beer Loaders must be able to move at a fast pace, accurately read labels, identify routes, and handle cases without breaking them while using a power industrial truck. They must meet standard productivity goals daily and handle all materials following company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure workplace.
Specific duties and responsibilities will be assigned according to the assigned workstation.
- Must be 18 years or older
- Six months of experience in a similar position strongly preferred
- Six months experience in operating a forklift required
- Experience in operating an electric pallet jack, and other power equipment preferred
- Accurately read route numbers and truck numbers to ensure the correct truck is being loaded
- Use the Company’s Warehouse management system to make sure all cases are accounted for on the manifest
- Verify the correct weight for all beer pallets using the Company’s equipment
- Place inaccurate pallets in the QC area for correction and load the accurate pallets on the route trucks
- Identify damages and safely clean up spills
- Safely operate a hand truck, motorized electric pallet jack, and forklift
- Keep appropriate records to guarantee inventory control, rotation or stock, and security are maintained
- Replenish products within a location using the Company’s Technology and power equipment as required
- Assist with physical inventories as required
- Assist in other trucks or areas when necessary or assigned
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Report in writing any safety or mechanical problems with the power equipment
- Conduct operations and maintain the facility in a neat, clean, orderly, and safe manner

- Able to frequently operate a pallet jack and/or forklift if assigned
- Able to stand and walk, reach with arms and hands, lift and carry, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel
- Able to perform greater than average lifting (up to 40 lbs) with some overhead lifting required
- Must have specific vision abilities that include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to judge distance
