Job DescriptionDCS (DeAngelo Contracting Services) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated CDL Technician who will work under close supervision. Responsibilities include performing a variety of transportation maintenance services, such as cleaning and clearing culverts, mowing, brush removal along roadsides, patching damaged pavements and shoulders, assisting with storm cleanup, repairing fences and signs, litter and debris removal, and emergency response activities.
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Work in adverse weather conditions.
- Lift moderately heavy objects, bend, climb, stand, or walk for long periods while maintaining accurate eye‑hand coordination.
- Adapt to changing situations and adjust work plans and schedules as needed.
- Operate equipment used in highway maintenance.
- Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and brooms.
- Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, and backpack blowers.
- Maintain a high standard of work ethic and commitment toward work.
- Apply any training or experience that enables performance of essential roadway maintenance functions.
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
- Experience:
- Class B CDL required.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Valid Georgia driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving record.
- Demonstrated training or experience to perform essential roadway maintenance functions.
