Brice performs large heavy civil construction operations to include large scale civil projects, drainage, repair of earthen dams and levees, roadways, bridges, airfields, parks, ranges, and stormwater management, water supply, wastewater collection, and on‑site wastewater treatment systems for federal, states, and local entities.

What can you expect?

As the Off‑Road Truck Driver, you are responsible to operate heavy equipment such as an articulating rock truck, water truck, and FOG/Mechanics truck, and other heavy equipment with dump body to transport and dump materials safely and efficiently at the project site. The Off‑Road Truck Driver will move dirt/earth to specified locations using assigned off‑road truck and/or other equipment necessary for the project.

Commitment to workplace safety is a must.

How will you do it?
  • Perform daily end dump truck operations including operating/driving the dump.
  • Secure loads correctly and within load limits to safely transport with miscellaneous trailers.
  • Required to keep accurate truck count of loads hauled and dumped and report loads to site engineer daily.
  • Perform truck and equipment inspections and preventative maintenance as required to ensure safe and continual service of equipment.
  • Perform greasing on specific high wear parts through the course of the day, depending on the truck usage.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Communicate well over the phone and/or radio.
  • Follow and comply with all site equipment signs and traffic regulations laid out by project management.
  • Comply with all safety requirements and participate in safety meetings.
  • Stay focused and complete tasks, safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Ensure company equipment is stored in a safe manner.
  • Coordinate machine actions with crew members using hand or audio signals.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • All around knowledge of materials, terms, and practices in construction field.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment utilized to perform functions in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Knowledge of safe and responsible operation of tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle and equipment inspection procedures, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Skill in inspecting equipment for safety and maintenance purposes.
  • Math skills to include adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measurement, including common fractions, whole numbers, and decimals.
