Job Overview
Primoris Distribution Services, Inc. is seeking experienced, safety‑conscious CDL Class A Drivers to join our team in Georgia. The position involves transporting materials and equipment safely and efficiently while ensuring timely deliveries and complying with applicable DOT regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles, including tractor‑trailers, in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform required pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of vehicles and equipment and document any defects or concerns.
- Load and unload materials and equipment while ensuring proper securement and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device records and all other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, customers, and other team members.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and DOT requirements.
- Ensure materials and equipment are delivered safely and on schedule.
- Represent Primoris Distribution Services, Inc. professionally at all times.
- Perform routine vehicle checks and minor maintenance or repairs when qualified and authorized.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
- Minimum of two years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a pre‑employment DOT drug screen, physical examination, and other required background checks.
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations and electronic logging device requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and committed to safe work practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical duties associated with loading and unloading.
- Ability to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, overtime, and travel, as needed.
