Savannah, GA - Warehouse Assistant

Perform a variety of functions that include receiving and processing incoming inventory, filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

• Daily control of inventory movement and up-to-date recording.
• Maintain correct storage of inventory, keeping items in locked areas as space allows and in numeric order; label overstock.
• Physically pull inventory and set controls to prevent losses.
• Ensure dumpsters and trash are emptied timely and keep the warehouse and yard clean, orderly, mowed, and weeded.
• Monitor and report inventory used for shop, test supplies, scrap, and construction expenses weekly.
• Maintain log for material deliveries for production supervisors.
• Physically receive inventory into the warehouse, verify item numbers and quantities.
• Perform cycle counts for the warehouse and crews, and assist with year‑end count.
• Perform minor facility maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain and track fire suits (Nomex).
• Track tooling calibrations via Excel file and email calibration reports weekly.
• Checkout, track, and order parts for specialty (high‑value) tools.
• Pickup and deliver materials in the surrounding area for the warehouse.
• Operate a forklift.

High School Diploma

1‑2 years of previous warehouse experience preferred. Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills, keen attention to detail, and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license.
