Shipping Receiving Clerk

• Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Prepare outgoing shipments and receive deliveries to the warehouse dock using warehouse management systems.
• Document management: manage the preparation, creation, retrieval, validation, and storage of documents necessary to support operations.
• Label, pack, and load items for shipment according to specifications.
• Stage shipments for shipping.
• Accept shipments and prepare docks for receiving.
• Operate stretch wrap banders and prepare pallets and crates for shipping.
• Unload delivery vehicles and move items to the appropriate area.
• Inspect for damage, compare items and quantities received against freight bills or other records, and document discrepancies.
• Maintain records of all items received and shipped via warehouse management and inventory systems.
• Check receipts against purchase orders for proper shipment, shortages, damages, or defects.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Ensure facility is inspection ready at all times for SQFI, FDA, and customer needs.
• If the site is a CGMP environment, monitor proper inventory requirements: FIFO, lot, and age.
• Assist with inventory cycle counts and other applicable duties as assigned.

• High School or GED required.
• Associate’s degree or two years of equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum six months in a warehouse or distribution environment required.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel required.
• Attention to detail and quality required.
• Ability to multitask in a safe manner.
