Bray Controls, a subsidiary of Bray International, Inc., is currently seeking a Freight Handler/Forklift Operator at our facility in Northwest Houston, Texas. The Freight Handler will perform pre‑shift checks of equipment, daily material checklists, and turn in requisitions. He or she will also maintain a daily list of all cargo still on the dock.
Responsibilities- Labeling and staging freight for all carriers and loading and unloading trucks.
- Making transactions in the computer system.
- Maintaining a neat, clean, and orderly shipping area.
- Operating various pieces of equipment, including forklifts and packaging equipment.
- Performing other duties as required by management.
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM. Additional overtime may be required. Shifts typically range from 8–12 hours, with potential overtime on Saturdays.
Qualifications- High School Diploma, GED, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
- 2+ years of experience performing warehouse and materials handling, inventory management, forklift/power equipment operation, and shipping/receiving duties.
- Experience with standard functions within MS Office applications such as MS Outlook, Excel, Access, etc. Able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to multi‑task, problem‑solve, and remain highly organized and detail oriented.
- Possess strong work ethic.
- Available to work overtime hours when needed.

- Desire to succeed, excellent oral and written communication, and organizational skills.
- Flexible, self‑starter, hands‑on, attention to detail, outstanding time management skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in customer service and ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
