Role Overview

The Material Handler II is responsible for supporting key Distribution Center processes, including receiving, fulfillment, shipping, kitting, and inventory control. This role builds on foundational distribution experience and requires knowledge of multiple functional areas within the facility. Success in the first 6–12 months includes accurately processing orders, maintaining inventory, supporting efficient product flow, and consistently following safety and quality standards. The role works closely with the Distribution Center team to meet customer orders and business requirements.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform distribution functions including shipping, picking, packing, labeling, receiving, kitting, and light assembly
  • Use RF devices and handheld technology to sort, scan, and prepare orders
  • Stage products based on customer orders and assist with organizing and maintaining inventory
  • Load and unload containers and trailers by hand
  • Operate a hand pallet jack and other assigned warehouse equipment
  • Support multiple functional areas within the Distribution Center and assist with other projects as needed
  • Assist with other projects and duties as assigned

What It Takes

  • 1–2 years of related experience
  • Manufacturing or distribution experience preferred
  • Experience working with RF devices or handheld warehouse technology
  • Demonstrated ability to perform multiple distribution functions
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime when necessary to support business requirements

  • Ability to produce high-quality work and maintain productivity
  • Good reading and comprehension skills, including the ability to read orders, RF devices, shipping documents, and related materials
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Qualifications

  • High school graduate
  • 1–2 years of related experience
  • Manufacturing or distribution experience preferred
  • Experience using RF equipment and handheld devices
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Working Environment

  • Distribution environment with exposure to noise and dust
  • Ability to work in uncontrolled climate conditions, including hot temperatures in the summer and cold temperatures in the winter
  • Ability to walk or stand for a minimum of 8 hours with limited breaks
  • Ability to balance, stoop, crouch, kneel, and reach
  • Equipment used includes warehouse RF equipment, hand jack, shrink-wrap machine, broom, and dust pan
