Industrial Surface Mine Electrician

Cal Portland seeks an Industrial Surface Mine Electrician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems at our mining and materials facilities. In this role, you will work on motors, conveyors, crushers, lighting, PLC-controlled equipment, and power distribution to support safe, efficient production. You'll perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and collaborate with operations and maintenance teams. Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical systems for motors, conveyors, crushers, and plant equipment
• Perform preventive and predictive electrical maintenance to minimize downtime
• Troubleshoot electrical faults using meters, schematics, and diagnostic tools
• Install and upgrade wiring, conduit, panels, and motor control equipment
• Support PLC- and VFD-controlled systems under engineering guidance
• Follow all safety, Lockout/Tagout, and MSHA/OSHA regulations
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to plan repairs
• Document work performed and maintain accurate maintenance records
• Assist with power distribution, lighting, and auxiliary systems
• Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement efforts
