Part-time Circulation Assistant and Substitute
We are looking for an exceptional individual who has excellent customer service skills and enjoys working with the public to fill a ten-twelve-hour position in the Circulation Department. The Circulation Assistant assists in the day-to-day operation of the circulation desk and encourages a friendly and organized environment to provide the best service for the public and to project a positive library image to the community.
This employee works under the direction of the Circulation Manager.
The preferred candidate would have experience with Sierra software and be comfortable functioning in a library setting using the Minerva system and online catalogues and reference databases. Good computer skills, a willingness to learn, accuracy and attention to detail are essential. Stamina, flexibility, diplomacy, and a sense of humor are strong pluses. Regular schedule includes weekday hours with an occasional Saturday.
Additional hours may be requested to cover sick time and vacations. Flexibility in scheduling is expected.
High school graduation or equivalent including some college or additional training is preferred.
The wage range begins at $19.82 per hour and is dependent upon experience and education.
This position is available immediately and will remain open until a qualified applicant is found.
