Scarborough Public Schools is seeking a School Counselor for coverage for our K-2 schools from September 2026 to November 2026. This position will be shared among our three primary schools:
Blue Point, Eight Corners, and Pleasant Hill. We are seeking a student centered School Counselor with outstanding credentials who thrives as a member of a team in a professional atmosphere. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, flexible, and familiar with K-2 students and education. Expectations include teaching state mandated abuse prevention lessons (Safer, Smarter Kids) to K-2 classrooms and collaboration with staff around MTSS data to promote student progress.
Qualifications:
- Maine Licensure and Professional School Counselor Certification
- Current Fingerprinting (CHRC)
Maine State Law requires ALL school employees to be fingerprinted and pass a Criminal History Record Check (CHRC). A copy of your CHRC MUST be uploaded as part of your application to be considered.
