Position: Contract Educational Technician II/III — Special Ed Support

Scarborough Public Schools | Scarborough, ME

Through Amergis Educational Staffing

Pay Rate: Up to $29.00/hour

Schedule: Approximately 35 hours per week

Duration: Full 2026–2027 School Year

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Educational Technician II and III professionals to support students within Scarborough Public Schools for the entirety of the 2026–2027 school year. These are contracted positions through our educational staffing agency and offer consistent school‑year hours in highly supportive special education environments.

Current Openings Functional Life Skills (FLS) Classrooms
  • Openings available across all age groups
  • Elementary, Middle School, and High School opportunities
Social Life Skills Classrooms
  • Openings serving students in grades K–5
Position Responsibilities
  • Provide instructional and behavioral support to students with special needs
  • Assist with implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Support students in developing academic, social, communication, and daily living skills
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and school staff
  • Provide one‑on‑one and small‑group support as needed
  • Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications
  • Maine Educational Technician II or III Certification (or eligibility to obtain certification)
  • Previous experience working with children or students with disabilities preferred
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to support students with varying academic, behavioral, and functional needs
