Description: Scarborough High School is looking for someone to support instrument pedagogy for students in our three talented bands (Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble). Experience working with high school-age students is preferred. The brass sectional instructor is responsible for leading sectionals with a variety of brass instruments. The woodwind section instructor is responsible for leading sections with a variety of woodwind instruments.
These roles work in tandem with other sectional instructors and work directly with the instrumental band teacher. Part-time, flexible hours are required. SHS works on a two-day block schedule, and this position requires you to work with each of our three bands one time per week. Schedule to be determined.
Salary Range: View the applicable collective bargaining agreement for salary schedules, compensation, and related employment terms.
Professional Staff Contract
Qualifications:
- Experience performing in instrumental ensembles
- Experience teaching privately or experience as a music educator is beneficial.
- CHRC certification required
