Step into an impactful contract opportunity as a School Psychologist supporting both elementary and pre-K students. Bring your expertise to a dynamic educational environment near Scarborough, ME, and play a critical role in evaluating and supporting young learners’ success.

This position offers a balanced 2-day-per-week schedule through June 16, 2027. One day will focus exclusively on K-5 evaluations at the elementary school level, while the other day serves pre-K (4-year-old) evaluations across the district. With an immediate start, you’ll be part of a collaborative team dedicated to student growth and well-being.

Qualifications &

Experience:

• Current state licensure or eligibility as a School Psychologist (Nationally Certified preferred)
• Experience in administering and interpreting psychological and educational assessments for K-5 and preschool-aged children
• Strong communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with IEPs, Response to Intervention (RTI), and relevant legal frameworks
• Flexibility to travel between locations on assigned days across the district

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students in K-5 and preschool, including cognitive, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments
• Participate in eligibility meetings and provide clear, actionable reports for teams and families
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to identify interventions and strategies
• Support the creation and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
