Our client, a leader in biological manufacturing and scientific research, is seeking a Sr. Scientist to join their team. As a Sr. Scientist, you will be part of the Operations department supporting reagent manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, innovative thinking, and excellent collaboration abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Sr. Scientist
Location: Scarborough, Maine
Duration: 6 months (possibility to extend)
Pay Range: $40 - $45
What's the Job?- Draft validation protocols, execute validations, and draft validation reports for reagents manufacturing processes such as mixing, pooling, and cleaning.
- Design and conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) involving various reagent combinations, concentrations, and operating conditions, documenting and presenting findings.
- Develop and maintain data tracking sheets for experiment results, critical process parameters, and quality attributes across manufacturing events.
- Utilize quality management systems to document study results, ensuring compliance with site design control and validation procedures.
- Create and revise manufacturing documents, specifications, SOPs, safety instructions, risk assessments, and technical procedures to promote compliant, efficient, and safe processes.
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related scientific/technical discipline.
- 6+ years of experience in a scientific or technical role within Operations or R&D.
- Proficiency with statistical analysis software such as Minitab or JMP.
- Experience with validation protocols, process development, and data analysis.
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally with R&D and QA teams to develop study plans and implement process improvements.
