Location:Southern Maine - Onsite
Overview:Our client is looking for a Desktop Support Technician to join their team for a 3-month contract, with the potential to become a permanent role. The position involves collaboration with the onsite team in Southern Maine.
What you will be doing:- Configuration & Deployment
- Support the implementation and management of telecom systems, ensuring seamless operation
- Package and deliver telephony equipment to client facilities in Southern Maine and New Hampshire
- Perform basic rack mounting and wiring of telephony equipment
- Document and maintain telecom inventory, contracts, and service agreements
- Support telecom initiatives, including upgrades and installations
- Configure and install telephone handsets, including voicemail
- Provide end user support and deskside training on hardware and software
- Collaborate with senior analysts to troubleshoot telecom issues and propose solutions
- Coordinate with third-party service providers to resolve customer service issues
- Make simple repairs to equipment
- 1 to 3+ years' experience supporting telephone equipment
- Knowledge of premise and cloud-based UCaaS solutions
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot telecommunication technologies
- Familiarity with voicemail, ACD, and call center applications
- Proven customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Familiarity with telecom management software and tools
- Basic understanding of network troubleshooting
Education:
Associate Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Skills:- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Proactive problem-solving and willingness to learn
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability
This role requires candidates to work onsite at our client's site in York, Maine.
Contract duration: 2 to 3 months.
