Position: Senior Business Transformation Data & Reporting (Finance Data)

Overview

Ahold Delhaize USA, a division of global food retailer Ahold Delhaize, supports five leading omnichannel grocery brands—Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford, and Stop & Shop. The Business Transformation – Data team leads reporting and analytics for domains such as Finance, Merchandising, Store Operations/Ecom, and Supply Chain. The role reports to the Business Transformation Director – Data and serves as the primary reporting and analytics lead for its domain.

The incumbent will manage end‑to‑end reporting and analytics, translate business requirements, collaborate with the Tech Data team and System Integrator, and guide product and tech teams to align with the reporting strategy. The role also drives automated decisions with data science and machine learning, manages communications with stakeholders, and works with Organizational Readiness to transition to future‑state reporting.

Work Location & Schedule

Full‑time, dedicated for the duration of the transformation program (estimated 5‑7 years). Hybrid work schedule: 3 in‑person days at one of the core locations (Salisbury, NC; Quincy, MA; Carlisle, PA; Scarborough, ME; Hyattsville, MD) and 2 remote days.

Essential Job Functions
  • Serves as the primary reporting and analytic lead for the domain, owning the data migration effort and setting strategic data and reporting direction.
  • Manages a roadmap of reporting initiatives, partners with cross‑functional teams, and ensures timely delivery and successful implementation of new capabilities.
  • Acts as a liaison between domain SMEs and the data architecture team, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Works with Reporting and Insight managers to identify data‑driven optimization opportunities supporting the roadmap.
  • Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to align data transformation efforts with broader business strategies.
  • Identifies KPIs and develops metrics to measure the effectiveness of data transformation initiatives.
  • Selects, sets up, and oversees multiple tools and systems that support simulation and optimization.
  • Stays current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data and reporting, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Establishes clear responsibilities and processes for monitoring work and measuring results of the team.
  • Facilitates open dialogue with a wide variety of contributors and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates partnership behaviors, builds cross‑functional connections, and develops industry‑leading expertise.
  • May perform additional duties as needed to meet business needs and support company values.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, or Supply Chain Management.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience, preferably in retail and/or grocery.
  • Proficient understanding of data analytics principles and ability to partner with SMEs and data architects to drive reporting process enhancements.
  • Effective communication skills bridging business and technical language, conveying complex concepts and findings to data architects and fostering collaboration.
  • Proven success in defining and operationalizing future‑state business processes, ways of working, and value realization strategies in multi‑brand, complex environments.
  • Ability to leverage data to analyze complex problems and create solutions that positively impact the business.
  • Highly collaborative with proven experience partnering, influencing, and negotiating to achieve shared objectives.
  • Strong relationship building to drive adoption of new processes, tools, and ways of working across multiple teams.
  • Track record of delivering measurable business outcomes and sustaining value post‑implementation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or MS in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
  • Progressive experience in business data management, domain leadership, or enterprise transformation, with hands‑on involvement supporting a functional domain in a large‑scale ERP or enterprise technology program.
  • Direct experience with SAP S/4

    HANA or comparable ERP platforms.
Salary Range

ME/NC/PA/SC: $108,880 – $163,320
IL/MA/MD/NY: $125,200 – $187,800
Actual compensation varies by qualifications, internal equity, and market conditions. Final decisions comply with company policies and laws.
