Looking for work where the little things really matter? A clean room. A fresh bed. A spotless bathroom. A welcoming shared space.

These might seem like small things, but at Bally Cara, they can make a big difference to someone’s day.

We’re looking for reliable, caring and hardworking Housekeepers to join our Residential Aged Care team at our beautiful Scarborough community — just one street from the water.

This is a casual position with the opportunity to move into permanent employment for the right person and team fit.

Why Bally Cara?

We’re a values-led charitable organisation committed to inspiring healthy and happy living for our residents, clients and employees.

You’ll work alongside a team of people who genuinely care about what they do, in an environment where you’ll be supported, valued and encouraged to bring your strengths to work every day.

And yes… working just one street from the waterfront isn’t a bad perk either!

Why you’ll love working with us

We live our SONA® (Happiness) values every day – supporting your wellbeing through:

• Wellness Day Off - take your birthday, a family day, or a "you" day, because you deserve it
• Fitness & Wellbeing Allowance - for yoga, gym, pilates, massage, or outdoor gear

• Financial Benefits - not-for-profit salary packaging up to $18,550 + 17.5% leave loading

At Bally Cara, housekeeping is about more than keeping things clean. It's about creating a place where older people feel comfortable, respected and truly at home.

From a freshly made room to a friendly smile in the hallway, it's often the little things that make the biggest difference.

We're looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and caring Housekeeper to join our Residential Aged Care team in beautiful Scarborough, just one street from the waterfront.

This is a casual opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right person.

If you take pride in your work, enjoy being part of a supportive team and want a job where your contribution genuinely matters, we'd love to meet you!

Our Scarborough community is more than an aged care facility. It's a vibrant Village of Friends, where relationships matter, individuality is celebrated and everyone has a part to play.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it...

Help make Bally Cara a place our residents are proud to call home!

No two days are quite the same, but your role will include:

• Keeping resident rooms fresh, clean and comfortable.
• Making shared spaces sparkle, including lounges, bathrooms, offices and communal areas.
• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and sanitising to maintain high hygiene standards.
• Assisting with our in-house laundry, including washing, sorting and distributing linen.
• Replenishing supplies and ensuring everything is ready for the day.
• Following infection prevention and control procedures.
• Using cleaning equipment, chemicals and PPE safely.
• Reporting maintenance or safety concerns.
• Sharing a friendly smile and treating every resident with kindness and respect.

You'll be part of a team that understands housekeeping isn't just a task to complete. It's an important part of someone's everyday comfort, dignity and wellbeing.

Could you be our next housekeeping superstar?

We're looking for someone who shows up, gets stuck in, takes pride in their work and genuinely cares about doing a great job.
