Scarborough Community Services is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable instructor/coach to lead a youth running program for Grades 1-6 students, focused on developing proper running technique across a variety of terrain including woods, fields, and walking paths. Parent volunteers also help support the supervision and coaching of athletes. If you're passionate about running and enjoy working with young athletes, we'd love to hear from you!
Requirementsof Work:
Lead practices on Mondays and Thursdays, as well as meets on Wednesdays. Teach safe and effective running form for mixed terrain. Support participants during optional cross-country meets held on Wednesdays at various locations (beginning late April). Ensure a positive, encouraging, and inclusive training environment.
Desirable Experience and Training:Experience in running or coaching. Ability to teach technique, motivate participants, and promote good sportsmanship. Responsible, reliable, and comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions. This is a dual-season position, with a fall season running September through October, and a spring season running April through June.

1 and Black Point Road/Gorham Road.
