Quality Control Technician

Our client, a leader in the medical device and diagnostics industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join their team. As a vital member of the Quality Assurance department supporting the manufacturing and testing processes, the ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, reliability, and a proactive approach to quality management, aligning successfully within a collaborative and innovative environment.

Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Location: Scarborough, ME

Pay Range: $25/hr - $28/hr on W2

What's the Job?

• Perform testing of in-process components for Lateral Flow, ELISA, and Molecular products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Conduct final release testing for various diagnostic products, maintaining accuracy and compliance.
• Troubleshoot technical and quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
• Undertake new procedures while observing proper safety precautions to uphold laboratory safety standards.
• Review batch records, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.

What's Needed?

• Associates degree in Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of laboratory and/or quality control experience in a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of GMP, FDA, ISO, and USDA regulations is preferred.
• Experience with pipetting, pH meters, and ELISA assays is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, and effective documentation skills.
