This role is for Winter 2026/2027. Both full-time and part-time roles are available.

The Retail Sales Associate’s responsibility is to make a life-long customer, not just a sale. Providing product knowledge to the customer allowing them to make a series of buying decisions which are mutually beneficial to the customer, and the store. Selling responsibilities include keeping merchandise folded and stocked neatly, while maintaining a clean work environment.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Give current and accurate information about the merchandise for all brands carried in the shop.
• Responsible for cash drawer and overseeing transactions.
• Demonstrate and explain merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customer’s needs.
• Develop strong knowledge of Saddleback Mountain to be able to answer questions regarding the mountain and other activities.
• Maintain a positive and cheerful attitude at all times.
• Must be able to work independently and multi-task while greeting guests promptly as they enter the store.
• Build rapport with customers to keep them coming back and increase sales.
• Must maintain store inventory and restock merchandise.
• Re-organize and move merchandise around as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized store and work area.

• Strong communication skills.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
• Pay attention to detail and be accurate with money usage and register use.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A worker’s permit may be applicable.
• Retail or sales experience preferred but not necessary.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in order to stock and move inventory.
• Be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
