Electrician III

The Electrician III applies general knowledge to assist with moderately complex projects and assignments within the Electrician family. Works under general supervision.

• Lead MCC bucket refurbishments—contact kits, overloads, interlocks.
• Calibrate and maintain test gear—IR cameras, meggers, primary injectors, PQ loggers.
• Execute advanced diagnostics on power quality, harmonics, and transient events.
• Perform MV/LV cable testing (VLF/hipot) and interpret results.
• Rebuild and align disconnects and bus joints; verify contact resistance.
• Install surge protection, filters, and PF capacitors and validate effect.
• Document advanced test reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Support relay testing (secondary) and record setting confirmations.
• Mentor technicians and junior electricians on diagnostic methods.
• Own the site PQ monitoring plan, deploy loggers and analyze trends.
