Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.;
Perform annual FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.;
Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections on tractors, trailers, reefer units, lift-gates, and other equipment.;
Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications (engines, transmissions, electrical, brakes, HVAC, etc.).;
Mentor Fleet Technician I and II to aid in their development; may perform moderate supervisory roles when managers are unavailable.
