Camp Lifeguards – Junior LG Ages 16+ & Senior LG Ages 18+ - Junior LG Starting at $16.50/hr & Senior LG Starting at $17.50/hr

Lifeguards at Camp Ketcha are responsible for the safety, supervision, and well‑being of all campers and staff in and around the waterfront. This role requires constant vigilance, sound judgment, and a calm, confident presence to ensure a safe and positive waterfront experience. Lifeguards support daily swim programming, enforce waterfront policies, and maintain a clean, organized, and well‑managed waterfront area, including the pool, pond, changing rooms, pumphouse, and lifeguard facilities.

In addition to maintaining active surveillance and responding promptly to emergencies, Lifeguards play an important role in camper development by fostering a supportive, inclusive environment and modeling positive behavior. Lifeguards conduct swim assessments, complete required documentation such as injury reports, and collaborate closely with counselors and leadership to ensure appropriate supervision and behavior management at the waterfront. As members of the larger camp team, Lifeguards may also assist with camp‑wide activities, daily check‑ins and dismissals, and special events.
