Relief Housekeeper

Role Overview

Housekeepers are responsible for providing and maintaining cleaning and catering services as part of the hotel services team to office, patient and communal areas within the trust. The role ensures a clean, safe and supportive environment for staff and patients working towards their recovery.

• Perform cleaning duties and use chemicals and equipment safely in a demanding environment.
• Support catering and food service activities and maintain high standards of customer service.
• Work as part of a multi‑professional team, thinking on the spot and demonstrating empathy.
• Provide a positive approach and image when working with patients, staff and client groups throughout the trust.

• Friendly, positive, organized and motivated individual.
• Highly reliable and flexible, with willingness to work at short notice for extra hours.
• Experience in cleaning duties and use of chemicals and equipment.
• Experience of working or volunteering in mental health and learning disabilities.
• Good numeracy, literacy and IT skills (Level
  2). Equivalent to GCSE grades 9-4 (A-C).
• NVQ Level 2 Housekeeping desirable.
• Commitment to undertake further training and qualifications as required.

• Food Hygiene Certificate level 2 or work toward successful completion.
