EMEA Recruitment have been engaged to recruit on behalf of a global business with a significant international presence. We are seeking an experienced FP&A leader to join the Group Finance function and support the delivery of global budgeting, forecasting and management reporting activities.
The company will offer the chance to take on a highly visible role with exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence how financial performance is analysed, reported and communicated across the organisation.
This role will be based in Schaffhausen and will operate on a hybrid model. You will work closely with regional and functional finance teams across a complex global matrix structure. The position will suit someone who can connect the dots, challenge the numbers and turn detailed financial information into concise messaging for senior stakeholders.
The role will be suited to someone with strong FP&A, controlling or management reporting experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced international environment and can manage multiple planning cycles under tight deadlines.
The main duties of the Head of FP&A are:- Lead group-wide budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
- Prepare monthly executive reporting for senior management and Board-level stakeholders
- Analyse actuals, forecasts, budgets and mid-term plans, challenging performance where required
- Consolidate inputs from regional and corporate finance teams into clear management insight
- Improve FP&A processes, reporting tools and planning systems
- Partner with regional and functional finance teams to coordinate month-end and forecast activity
- Build financial models, scenario analysis and sensitivities to support business decisions
- Lead or support projects across FP&A, controlling, reporting and analytics
- Coordinate priorities and development for a small FP&A team
- 6-8+ years’ experience in FP&A, controlling, management reporting or financial planning
- Experience working within an international business and complex matrix structure
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial information into clear executive-level messaging
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and supporting business decision-making
- Knowledge of cash flow, working capital and foreign exchange forecasting
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting or planning tools
- Experience with IBM Cognos / TM1, BI or data warehouse tools would be advantageous
- Previous exposure to finance systems or planning software upgrades would be beneficial
- English language skills to a professional level
