About the RoleWe’re looking for a Senior Accountant who will play a key role in managing U.S. accounting and financial operations. You’ll handle full‑cycle accounting

, cash flow management
, and audit coordination
, while helping build scalable systems to support our long‑term growth.
This role requires an individual who is detail‑oriented, analytical, and proactive — someone who takes ownership of their work and enjoys the challenge of building structure in a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities Accounting & Reporting- Manage full‑cycle accounting operations (GL, AP/AR, month‑end/year‑end closing).
- Prepare accurate and compliant financial statements and reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
- Coordinate audits and provide clear documentation and explanations.
- Monitor cash flow, prepare forecasts, and manage banking relationships.
- Support budgeting, variance analysis, and financial planning activities.
- Collaborate with leadership on strategic financial insights.
- Assist with tax filings and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and local regulations.
- Maintain strong internal controls and process integrity.
- Prepare reporting packages for headquarters in Japan.
- Ensure timely, accurate consolidation data for global reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, data analysis) and Quick Books.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience in international or Japanese business environments.
- Knowledge of consolidation and cross‑border financial processes.
- Japanese language ability (a plus, not required).
- Hybrid schedule (3 days in office, Schaumburg, IL).
- Collaborative, multicultural environment bridging U.S. and Japan.
