A leading industrial distribution company headquartered near Schaumburg is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its expanding finance team. With acquisitions fueling rapid growth, this is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of accounting operations across a dynamic, multi-entity business. What You’ll Do

• Lead core accounting functions: AP, AR, payroll, inventory reconciliation, and month/year-end close
• Manage multi-million-dollar receivables and payables, including vendor negotiations and payment plans
• Prepare journal entries, financial reports, and support audits and compliance (GAAP, ASC 842)
• Analyze sales and expenses, optimize cash flow, and support strategic decision-making
• Collaborate with leadership to streamline processes across acquired entities
• Process payroll across multiple states and support international finance operations

Must-Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience, including month-end close
• Blend of public accounting and industry experience
• Experience in mid-to-large companies and product-based or distribution industries
• Proficiency in Sage and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
• Familiarity with ASC 842 lease accounting
