Accounting Specialist - International Food Distributor

An Asian food and restaurant distributor is currently seeking a motivated Accounting Specialist to join their facility in the Schaumburg, IL area. This is a full-time, direct hire position.
   
   Accounting Specialist

Responsibilities Include:

Handle accounts payable / receivable functions
   Participate in preparation for internal and external financial audits and corporate income taxes
   Assist with cost planning functions, reconcile business expenses, and check cash flows
   Assist administrative tasks, such as filing and data entry
   Ensure accuracy of physical inventory (tools, production materials, etc.)
   Create accounting reports for upper management
   Other duties as assigned
   
   Accounting Specialist Requirements Include:
   
   Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred, OR equivalent work experience
   Accounting experience (including internships, co-ops, etc.), preferably in a manufacturing environment

Experience with accounting functions such as accounts payable / receivable, tax preparations, budget and financial analysis, expense reporting, etc.
   Good computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Excel
   Strong communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment
   Organizational and time management skills
   While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
