Bookkeeper

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial recordkeeping and reporting for our team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy, keeps organized records, and can manage core accounting tasks with confidence. The successful candidate will help maintain clean financial data, support routine reconciliations, and contribute to smooth accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate financial records by entering and updating transactions in accounting systems and supporting spreadsheets.

- Review ledger activity regularly to identify discrepancies, correct posting errors, and preserve data accuracy across accounts.

- Prepare routine financial documentation, including income summaries, profit and loss reports, and account-level totals for internal use.

- Reconcile bank statements and related account balances by comparing financial records against banking activity and resolving variances.

- Organize and retain invoices, receipts, and other accounting documents in a manner that supports efficient retrieval and audit readiness.

- Assist with tax-related administrative work by gathering information needed for payments, filings, and supporting documentation.

- Help ensure accounting practices align with applicable reporting standards and established financial controls.

- Provide research support and assist accounting staff with additional bookkeeping and reporting tasks as business needs arise.

Requirements

Keys

- Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping with a strong focus on accuracy and record maintenance.

- Proficiency in Quick Books and confidence working with spreadsheets and accounting software.

- Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Experience performing bank reconciliations and investigating account discrepancies.

- Ability to prepare basic financial reports and maintain organized supporting documentation.

- Familiarity with standard financial reporting practices and compliance expectations.

- Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
